چکیده

This study aimed to compare the pedicle screw placement accuracy and surgical outcomes between 3D-printed (3DP) drill guide template technique freehand in spinal deformity surgery. A comprehensive systematic literature search of databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web Science) was conducted. The meta-analysis compared other important two techniques. total seven studies were included meta-analysis, comprising 87 patients with 1384 screws placed by 3DP templates 88 1392 technique. results revealed that significantly more accurate than place had a higher rate excellently (OR 2.22, P < 0.001) qualifiedly 3.66, 0.001), lower poorly 0.23, 0.001). mean time per (WMD–1.99, 0.05), (WMD–27.86, blood loss (WMD–104.58, 0.05) reduced group group. Moreover, there no significant statistical difference techniques terms operation correction main bend curve. demonstrated promising tool for assisting surgery deserved further promotion.

Spinal Neuronavigation and 3D-Printed Tubular Guide for Pedicle Screw Placement: A Really New Tool to Improve Safety and Accuracy of the Surgical Technique?

During the last years in spine surgery has become more urgent the need for a safe method to improve pedicle screw placement. A safe and correct placement can have many important consequences, both clinical (development of new symptoms) and medico-legal. The most widespread and used tool is neuronavigation. In literature, many studies have compared the precision of screw placement between free-h...

3D Printed Tubular Guides for Pedicle Screw Placement: The Answer for the Need of a Greater Accuracy in Spinal Stabilization

Recently, many different systems have been developed in order to help the spinal surgeon in the placement of pedicle screws, and to reduce the incidence of misplacement. The most used system is surely the neuronavigator [8]. Widely known and applied in oncologic brain surgery, its use is increasingly widespread also in spine surgery. A preoperative surgical planning is performed on the basis of...

Accuracy and postoperative assessment of pedicle screw placement during scoliosis surgery with computer-assisted navigation: a meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND Accurate insertion of pedicle screws in scoliosis patients is a challenge for surgeons. Computer-assisted navigation techniques might help improve the accuracy of screw placement, thereby avoiding complications. Thus, the objective of this present work is to compare the accuracy and postoperative assessment of pedicle screw placement in scoliosis patients using a computer-assisted na...
